FASTING AND PRAYER CHALLENGE FOR 2026 MIDTERM ELECTION
2026 Midterm Prayer and Fasting
The Daniel Fast of water, clear broth, milk, vegetables, Fruit, and Vitamins recommended between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm eastern standard time from Tuesday October 6 through November 10, 2026. Participate in prayer every hour on the hour between those dates.
ADD TO YOUR PRAYER:
Father, You told us in Romans 13:1 that there is no authority except that which is established by You—therefore, we pray to You to tear down the strongholds and bind the demonic spirits that are (1) working to destroy the integrity of the American election system and (2) working to blind the American people to what is really happening against our welfare, (3) working to discourage Christians AND conservatives from voting, and (4) working to get Christians to vote their pocketbooks instead of according to their faith so that Your Will is done in the 2026 midterm election.
WARNING:
IF YOU ARE NOT IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT HEALTH, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS FAST WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING WITH YOUR MEDICAL DOCTOR.
Daniel Fast option for people with health issues such as diabetes, or other nutrient related illnesses: Daniel said in recording his fast in 10:3—“I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips.” Daniel fasted by abstaining from lavish meals or anything that was pleasurable to eat or drink. In Daniel 1:2, his fast was vegetables and water.
Other option for people with nutrient related health issues
On the other hand, food is not the only element that can be used effectively for a fast if you have a severe nutrient related illness. A person with a severe nutrient related illness can use things like abstaining from watching television, using your Cell Phone, or other things from which they get great pleasure. The point is that fasting is a signal to the Lord that you have a desire or a need to build up your character and faith in Him. It is a discipline that enables you to take your focus off satisfying the demands of your continuously hungry flesh. And instead, fasting allows you to focus on your hunger for God and feeding your spirit, thus drawing nearer to God. In other words, fasting is drawing nearer to God by humbling ourselves before Him (Dan. 10:12) through a voluntary denial of food to your body or other pleasurable things—when health concerns won’t allow a food fast.
